Description
A baghouse filter, also known as a fabric filter or a dust collector, is a sophisticated air filtration system extensively used in industries for capturing and removing particulate matter from flue gases. It employs a combination of filtration mechanisms such as interception, inertial impaction, diffusion, and electrostatic attraction to effectively collect solid particles and pollutants before the gas is released into the atmosphere.
Working Principle:
The baghouse filter consists of a series of fabric filter bags made from special materials that have the ability to retain even micron-sized particles. These bags are installed in a dust collector housing, and the polluted gas containing particulate matter passes through them. As the gas flows through the filter bags, solid particles are trapped by the fabric, while the clean gas is allowed to escape.
